Transport from Bangkok Airport (BKK), Thailand
British Airways flight from London at Bangkok airport The new Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International airport took over from the old Don Muang airport in 2006 and is now Thailand's busiest hub. Its location is 15 miles distance east of the city and it has a single massive-sized terminal (one of the world's largest) for domestic and international flights.
Taxi Metered taxi cabs wait on Level 1 below the Arrivals level. Go first to the public taxi desk where you receive a special Thai destination voucher which can be used for possible complaints if the proper fare is not charged. You can also go to to the Public Transport Center (a few miles away by free shuttle bus), there are more taxis from the official taxi stand there.
Bus The former Airport Express bus no longer operates. Daytime buses do run direct from Terminal Level 1 to/from Jomthien Beach in Pattaya.
Otherwise, take a free white airport shuttle bus to the nearby Suvarnabhumi Airport Bus Station at the Public Transport Center. From there, public bus routes serve surrounding areas, including Don Muang Airport, Samut Prakan, Bang Kapi, On Nut Sky Train station, Minburi, Victory Monument, and the huge Future Park Rangsit shopping and amusement Malls.
Train The Airport Express Line high-speed train departing from the passenger terminal's lower level is the fastest transport to Bangkok city centre and Makkasan station.
