Brno Turany airport is situated about a 7 mile drive southeast of central Brno, a short distance off the D1 Prague - Olomouc motorway, exit 201 Brno - Slatina.
Taxi Brno taxi services overcharge less than those in Prague, but do ask approximate price in advance and make sure taxi-meter is set to zero. Alternatively phone City Taxi, operator speaks English.
Bus Public bus lines 76 and 89 run to the bus and train stations in town. There are 2 large bus stations in Brno: 'Grand hotel' near the railway station, and 'Zvonarka' (with international routes) about 500 m. south of the railway station. Bus and tram travel around Brno is comprehensive and very cheap. Frequent coaches run from Brno to Prague in 2 3/4 hours, to Vienna in 2 1/2 hours.
Train No direct train to this airport. Brno central railway station is called Brno Hlavni Nadrazi, which lies on the the railway line Prague-Brno-Vienna.
