Punctuality, there are rarely delays at this quiet airport, it has the 3rd best on time stats for 2012 from any UK airport with more than 1 million passengers, that's really good, even by regional airport standards.
Disadvantages
Lack of destinations, with nearly a million Welsh people now flying from Bristol Airport even though for most Cardiff is closer to their home. There are many reasons, but the obvious one is the lack of direct non-stop flights, just compare the list destinations from Bristol with those from Cardiff. Parking is cheaper at Cardiff, delays are fewer and yet the airport ignored by many locals.

Our Opinion

We view Cardiff as one of the better airports in the UK to fly from. This is not because they offer good value food and drink or quick security checks, they don't, but then which airport does not try to part passengers from their cash and the security queues are no worse than most. If what matters are punctual flights and minimal delays then Cardiff is one of the best in the country.
