Good airport for the Friedrichshafen Messe exhibition centre, Zeppelin Museum, Mainau Island in Lake Constance, and for the Vorarlberg, Tyrol, Lech, Zürs, St.Anton, Ischl, Montafon and Bregenzer Wald skiing areas.

Bus	Weekend Ski shuttle buses run to Bludenz in the Vorarlberg area in Austria, details from www.airport-bus.at.
Train	Nearest station: Friedrichshafen Airport opposite Arrivals area. Bodensee-Oberschwaben-Bahn (BOB) train runs hourly to Friedrichshafen Central Station / Harbour Station and to Ravensburg / Aulendorf. Deutsche Bahn trains connect Friedrichshafen with Ulm, Vorarlberg, the Rhine Valley, the Allgäu, the western Lake Constance and Black Forest region. Regular trains run via Friedrichshafen Stadt to Bludenz, from here are connections to the ski resorts of Arlberg, Montafon and Bregenzerwald.
Ferry	From Friedrichshafen Harbour to Romanshorn (Switzerland) hourly; various other cities around Lake Constance can be reached by ferry as well.
