Katowice airport terminalAlso known as Katovice or Kattowitz, the International Airport is 21 miles north of the city near Pyrzowice, distance from Katowice airport to Cracow (Krakow) is about 65 miles.
Taxi Taxis are available from the taxi rank in front of the passenger terminal. Fare to city cost about 20 Euros.
Bus The airport has a daily bus service to the city centre, journey takes about 40 minutes. Local public buses also run to Bytom, Mierzecice, Zawiercie. The main bus station is situated near the railway station in town. Bus stops have information boards displaying local bus routes. Another way to travel around Katowice is by tram.
Train No train runs to Katowice airport. The main railway station is located in centre of town, near the bus station. Frequent trains run from here to Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Oswiecim (for Auschwitz), and to all parts of Poland and beyond.
