  • Transfers at Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD), Spain
    New terminal 4 for flights at Madrid
    Located just 8 miles out north east of central Madrid off the N11 (E90) motorway, the airport is well signposted.
    Taxi A taxi to town should cost no more than 20 Euros. Make sure that the meter is set to zero or to the minimum charge. If in doubt, ask for a receipt and make a note of the taxi registration number.
    Coach The Yellow EMT Airport Bus to Plaza de Colón bus terminal now no longer runs. Bus no. 204 runs from Terminal 4 to the city centre, bus no. 201 runs from Terminal 4 to the nearby Barajas airport Metro station. Bus no.200 stopt at Terminals 1,2 and 3 and runs to Avenida de América.
    Train The quickest and easiest method to travel into Madrid is via the underground. Line 8 Metro trains run from the airport underground station to Nuevos Ministerios in the city centre. (N.B.- Keep a close look on your possessions in underground trains). The Metro also links to the Spanish RENFE railway network.
