MyTravel Flights - Independent charter flights with MyTravel Group
My Travel Airways is a UK charter airline based in Manchester. The airline is used by Airtours Holidays and other MyTravel Group tour operators. It started operations in 1991 as Airtours International, but was renamed after the Airtours package holiday group was rebranded to MyTravel in 2002. MyTravel Airways also provides aircraft for the MyTravellite brand, which has merged back into MyTravel, although you can still book flights on the mytravellite.com website.
A flight booked with MyTravel is operated as a charter flight instead of a scheduled flight. Various holiday options such as flight-only deals, sun and ski package holidays, villa's or last minute trips can all be booked via the MyTravel.com website. They also deal with charter flights for football matches and other sports events.

MyTravel Routes and Destinations
On the MyTravel.com website, a good choice of holidays or flight-only deals can be booked departing from many UK regional airports, including Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, Gatwick, Glasgow, Glasgow Prestwick, Humberside, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham East Midlands, Southampton, London Stansted and Teeside. Short haul charter routes include many popular sun and ski holiday destinations in Europe. Long haul charter flights include the Caribbean, South America, Calgary, Egypt, Florida, the Gambia, Goa, Kenya, the Maldives and Mexico.
MyTravelLite has changed: seat-only charter flights from 22 different UK airports to over 70 world-wide destinations can be booked via the MyTravel.com website.

| Booking |
A flight booked with MyTravel.com will be operated as a charter flight instead of a scheduled flight. You can choose from flight-only options or package holidays. Currently bookings are taken only for return travel for either 7 or 14 nights. A credit card percentage booking fee applies, debit card bookings free. MyTravel has recently introduced a ticketless option, a booking confirmation is sent by email or by post. Last minute tickets can be collected at the airport but there will be a ticket-on-departure charge of £15. All flights are ATOL protected. |
| Seats |
Seats are allocated at check-in. Pre-booking seats (fee) means a shorter check-in time (90 mins minimum) and guaranteed adjacent seating for passengers. Pre-booking a seat with an extra 5 inches of legroom by the exit doors is also possible. Usual seat pitch (legroom) is around 29 inch and seat width tends to be on the narrow side. |
| Meals |
Flight-only bookings with MyTravel do not include inflight meals, they can be booked as an optional extra and must be paid for separately. Meals can also be selected separately for holiday packages. |
| Baggage |
Luggage allowances vary, according to your tour operator and travel class, from 15 kg to 30 kg per person plus hand luggage, check your tickets. Excess baggage costs £6/kg for flights under 6 hours. |

| Check-In |
Check-in times for your flight is specified on your tickets, usually 2 to 3 hours beforehand, for pre-booked seats it is a minimum of 90 minutes. |

The Premiair Gold Package offered by MyTravel Airways is a very good upgrade especially recommended for long-haul flights. Extra benefits include: Exclusive and shorter check in; extra wide seats and leg room in separate cabin; choice of meals; generous baggage allowance, complementary drinks, good bar service and inflight entertainment. |
